Asif Ali Qureshi

“Myself Asif Ali Qureshi, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, completed my Masters in Modern History from Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi in 2020. Then I went on to pursue for UPSC Civil Services at Jamia Millia Residential Coaching Academy(RCA) in 2021 and Hamdard Study Circle(HSC) in 2022. This Elicit fellowship took my deep interest in contributing something to the har-stricken or conflict affected students of J&K, and bring some positive change in their future lives by moulding them with proper guidance and teaching.
My only vision in this short span on life is to be good citizen by fulfilling all my responsibilities towards my parents, society and the humanity in any noble cause I come across.”

“My name is Aamina Hamid. I’m pursuing Integrated English programme in Cluster University, Kashmir. I have done my schooling from DPS, Srinagar. I have written two books. My vision for this fellowship is to create a space for children of conflict zones, where they can learn and enjoy the process of gaining knowledge while making it easy for them to grasp the meaning of life in a shattered existence. I also envision this fellowship aiding my personal growth as a human first and then as a teacher.”

“My name is Shafakat Nazir Akhoon and I have done Diploma In Civil Engineering and Bachelor’s of Technology in Civil Engineering. I have worked in an NGO for about one year and am also a home tutor. I have also done certain computer courses. This fellowship will surely boost my morals and let me help new generation to get better education.”

Shivani Dhama
Noida
Shivani has worked extensively in the school ecosystem learning with and teaching children life skills using developmental drama as the medium. She has travelled to various states within the country and had an opportunity to work and engage with rural and tribal communities during her professional and academic journey. Is a certified risk based internal auditor. She feels firmly about strengthening local governance and harnessing the power and wisdom of communities to create inclusive learning spaces with emphasis on gender and sexuality education. Besides, she finds delight in reading philosophical works and a cup of coffee.
