ELICIT Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit organisation, established in July 2020, that designs education in response to the impacts of protracted conflict, armed violence and volatility on the emotional landscape of children, teachers and school systems.
Mission
ELICIT’s mission is to collaborate with local champions to build trauma-informed teachers and healing-centred classrooms. Through knowledge, discourse and a wide community of educators, our programs envision affect restoration and psychosocial resilience for all stakeholders involved.
Vision
ELICIT’s vision is to build education systems that are able to act against the erosion of agency caused by protracted conflict, through policy, pedagogy and people.

ELICIT designs context-sensitive education to address collective trauma in regions affected by protracted armed conflict, by equipping mainstream school systems in the region with healing-centred pedagogy and policies to restore psychosocial agency in children and teachers. ELICIT builds cross-border communities as well to contain this movement.
